Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash), plus optional profile details you choose to add — role, employer, education, links, avatar and cover photos.
Activity on Strideby: sessions you join, intentions and tasks you write, chat messages, direct messages, applications you log in the tracker, follows, and reviews.
Payment information: card details are processed by Stripe and never touch our servers. We store booking records (amount, currency, session time) and, for creators, a Stripe Connect account reference.
Video and audio in sessions is transmitted in real time via LiveKit and is not recorded or stored by Strideby.
To run the product: hosting sessions, showing your profile to other members, delivering messages, processing bookings and payouts, and sending transactional emails (booking confirmations, creator approvals) via Resend.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
We rely on a small set of processors to operate: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments and creator payouts), LiveKit (real-time video), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting). Each processes your data only to provide their service to us.
You can access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Most profile data can be edited directly in the app; for full account deletion or a copy of your data, contact us and we will action it within 30 days.
If you are in the UK or EU, you have rights under UK GDPR / GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, portability, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority (the ICO in the UK).
We keep your data while your account is active. Booking and payment records are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes even after account deletion. Data is encrypted in transit, and access is restricted through row-level security.
If we make material changes to this policy we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
